2018 SUMMER YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES UPDATE

Zambia’s 400m Gold medalist Kennedy Luchembe hits the track today at 16:15 hours Zambian time.

Luchembe, served as the country’s flag bearer during the official opening ceremony of the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the female category the African Bronze medalist Niddy Minglishi (athletics), will also compete today in the 400m.

In swimming Mia Phiri, is scheduled to swim in the 50m Freestyle at 15:37 hours Zambian time.

Meanwhile, U18 male hockey team hopes to win today’s match against Vanuatu at 13:30 hours Zambian time for them to increase their chances of proceeding to the quarter finals.

Zambia recorded its first medal (Bronze) in Equestrian at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games through Bunty Howard, when she competed in the jump international team event in the second round of the competition and finishing the jumps with a time of 78.90 to help team Africa come out 3rd.
