BALANCE SPORT WITH EDUCATION, TEULINGS BEACH VOLLEYBALL COORDINATOR URGES ATHLETES

Teulings Beach volleyball coordinator Isaac Tembo has disclosed that there is a need for athletes to balance sport with education.

Tembo says most of the athletes who take part in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge at the OYDC Zambia are always urged not to lose focus when it comes to education.

He says athletes take part in sports competitions when they are not in school adding that sport when well balanced with education helps many athletes excel in life.

He expressed happiness that the majority of athletes who were taking part in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge on Saturday 7 October 2023 at the sports facility continue to show their zeal for school and sport.

Over 200 athletes showed up at the OYDC to compete in beach volleyball and hockey the two games which the OYDC Zambia organised as preparations for the 2023 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale take centre stage.

The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge is a youthful competition at the Centre which engages talented athletes in several sports disciplines and is sponsored by Coen Teulings Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium.

The competition has been running since 2011 and several athletes having gotten selected to play in several national teams and clubs.
