Teulings Beach Volleyball coordinator Isaac Tembo, has disclosed that he will use the 2018 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge and Academy at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) to identify and qualify athletes who can represent Zambia at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Sires, Argentina.
Tembo, says a total of (8) players (4) boys and (40) girls will be competing at the OYDC on Saturday 24th March.
He adds that there will be (6) games in the U15, and U19 respectively stating that the games will mark the opening season for the Teulings Beach Volleyball league with players being selected from Lusaka and Kabwe.
Meanwhile, Tembo has predicted that this year’s league games will be tough adding parents and school teachers must allow the players to attend training sessions if the country is to take players to regional and international competition.
The Teulings sports challenge has provided over 3000 athletes an opportunity to experience well organised sport training and competition, from “Sport for All” to developmental aspects of sport which eventually have led to producing high performance athletes.
