Bluwood Handball Club Hosts Zimbabwe’s Spartans for International Friendly Matches

Bluwood Handball Club played host to Zimbabwe’s Spartans Handball Club over the weekend in a series of friendly matches aimed at fostering the growth of handball beyond Zambia’s borders.
The games, held at the OYDC Zambia Sports Development Centre, featured participation from Lusaka Tigers Women (OYDC Handball Club), Bluwood Men and Women’s teams, and Spartans from Zimbabwe. The event provided a platform for skill exchange and regional sports development.
OYDC Acting CEO, Mr. Tembo, graced the occasion and welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of such international engagements in promoting the sport across the region.
To conclude the series of friendly games, a Zambia Select Team faced off against the visiting Spartans, marking a competitive and thrilling end to the tournament.
