Three hockey teams dominate Teulings league games

Three hockey teams have dominated the Teulings Hockey league games in three age categories respectively. The teams are; Boys U12 Hotspurs, U14 Boys Springfields and U14 Girls Zambezi. Hotspurs currently has 12 points and Springfields has 9 points while Zambezi has 10 points. The games took place at the OYDC on Saturday, 20 July, 2019 with 10 teams which include Sharks, D.E Stars, Hotspurs, Springfields, and Tigers coming to compete. Zambia beats Zimbabwe 30-16 as handball tournament kicks off

Zambia is currently hosting the IHF Trophy Zone VI Games which started today and will come to a close on the 16th June, 2019. The games involve the U20 and U17 Handball Female teams and have been selected from ten African countries.Some of the countries that are participating include; Madagascar, Seychelles, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho, Zimbabwe Botswana, and Zambia. Teulings Beach Volleyball attracts more youths

Teulings Beach Volleyball Coordinator Isaac Tembo, has disclosed that the sport at OYDC is receiving positive response from the time it was introduced. Tembo, notes with happiness that a number of players who started from the Teulings league games have now graduated to join the national team and have participated in a number of local and international competition. He added that on Saturday the Teulings Beach Volleyball games saw six teams participating in the games.

Government challenges coaches to qualify athletes to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Olympafrica netball team impress OYDC programmes officer

Olympafrica Netball Team over the weekend dominated the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge with the spirit of winning all the games played. OYDC Programmes Officer Mellisa Manjonga, expressed delight that athletes have continued to show the zeal for the sport of netball adding that this is keeping them busy from unlike indulging in illicit activities on communities. OYDC hosts president Edgar Lungu

The OYDC this morning hosted president H.E President Edgar C. Lungu, who came to launch the 2019 Health Week organised by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development. The president was received by cabinet ministers, permanent secretaries, state house officials and other senior government officials. Young swimmers gets the ball rolling

Young swimmers on Saturday were at the OYDC to participate in the 2019 Teulings Swim Challenge which attracted over 60 swimmers from three clubs namely Lusaka Sharks, Kalene and Chudleigh. Over 100 swimmers set to compete in the 2019 Teulings Swim Challenge

The 2019 Teulings Swim Challenge set for Saturday, 4 May at the OYDC has attracted over 100 swimmers selected from four local teams. The young swimmers will be competing in the 25m Freestyle, 25m Back Stroke, 100m Breast Stroke, 50m Breast Stroke, 50m Butterfly and the 4x50m freestyle relay. Over 200 young hockey players on Saturday thronged the OYDC to participate in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge.
