OVER 200 ATHLETES UNDER GO HEALTH SCREENING AS THEY PARTICIPATE IN TEULINGS GAMES

Over 200 athletes from various sports disciplines at the OYDC Zambia Saturday morning underwent health screening as they prepared to compete in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. The athletes are from basketball, beach volleyball and hockey the sports codes part of the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge sponsored by Coen Teulings Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium. DR FREDRICK CHITANGALA LEAVES OYDC ZAMBIA

OYDC Zambia Chief Executive Officer Dr Fredrick Chitangala has left the multisports facility as his tour of duty has come to an end. National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) president Alfred Foloko has since announced OYDC Zambia Finance Manager Benjamin Tembo as the acting Chief Executive Officer till when the new CEO will be appointed. As the 2023 African Games come to a close in Accra, Ghana Team Zambia has recorded fifteen (15) medals in total in five sports disciplines. MUZALA SAMUKONGA WINS SILVER MEDAL AT AFRICAN GAMES

2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games 400m gold medalist Muzala Samukonga has minted silver medal in the men’s 400m final race at the African Games. Samukonga clocked 45.37s to secure silver for Zambia.
