Sports minister launches 2022 National Youth Sports Festival

OYDC Zambia is hosting over 1000 youths in seven sports disciplines taking part in the 2022 National Youth Sports Festival which has been launched by Youth, Sport and Arts Minister Job. Taekwondo gears up for regional Championship set for Botswana

Taekwondo Federation of Zambia president Likando Nagode says his federation is currently preparing athletes for the Regional Championship to be hosted by Botswana in June. Nagode says the federation is eyeing players who participate in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge to go and represent Zambia at the competitive tournament. COEN TEULINGS EXTENDS FUNDING TO OYDC TILL 2024

The Teulings Foundation in Belgium has extended financial support to OYDC Zambia to continue running youthful league games for the sports disciplines it sponsors. Baseball 5 launched at OYDC Zambia The Zambia Baseball and Softball Association (ZBSA) on Friday 22 April 2022 launched the sports discipline at the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development to add it to the other over 20 sports codes. Zambia settles for Bronze at Cana Zone IV Swimming Championship

It was a splendid colorful four days swimming competition which attracted 14 Countries. The 2022 CANA Zone IV Swimming Championship which was being hosted by Zambia at OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre has come to an end with neighbouring country Zimbabwe reigning supreme. OYDC Zambia will be playing host for the upcoming Southern African Judo Confederation Championship slated for 23 April 2022. The Championship will attract three countries Botswana, Malawi and the host Zambia. Team Botswana has since arrived in the Country ahead of camping and training in preparation for the Championship.
