Masikana, the swimmer

His name is Tonderai Masikana, a swimmer for the Lusaka Sharks swimming club which trains from the Olympic Youth Development Centre. The young swimmer has continued to live his dream through sport. At the age of six, Masikana had started swimming and recording his personal best time during swimming competition. Zambia Judo Association President Alfred Foloko, elected as new NOCZ president

Zambia Judo president Alfred Foloko, has been elected as the new National Olympic Committee of Zambia NOCZ president. The elective meeting took place in Ndola on Saturday afternoon. Hazel Kennedy has been elected as vice president while Boniface Kambikambi is the new secretary general. Handball Association of Zambia president Victor Banda is now the new treasurer. Guy Phiri, Lea Namukonda and Kakoma Nakaonga have been elected as NOCZ Executive members.

NAZ begins 2019 world cup qualifiers preparation

The Netball Association of Zambia (NAZ) has partnered with UK sport and England netball in its quest to qualify the Women’s Senior Netball National Team to the 2019 World Cup to be held in Liverpool, England. Chinese Ambassador Tourney Set for 21st October

The fifth edition of the Chinese Ambassadors Table Tennis Championship is set to take place on the 21st October, 2017. The tournament to be hosted by Zambia at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) will see participation from five African countries of which Botswana, Malawi and Zimbabwe have confirmed their participation. Zambia Hockey Teams Ready for Egypt

Zambia National Men’s Hockey Team Coach Thomas Mumba, has expressed confidence in the Zambian hockey team ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Club Nations to be held on October 22nd to 29th. Congolese national wins 1st African Draughts-64 tourney

Zambian based Congolese draughts player, Richard Mwammba, was on Tuesday night crowned ‘International Draughts Grand Master’ after winning the first ever African Draughts-64 Championship held at the Olympic Youth Development Centre in Lusaka, Zambia. Mwammba, emerged winner after scoring 14 points after “Round 9” beating his closest rival Moses Winesi, from Malawi who scored 13 points leaving him astonished after the loss.
