‘GO AND REPRESENT US WELL’ HOCKEY TEAM TOLD
The national hockey men’s team bound for 2023 All Africa Games qualifiers have been urged to represent Zambia well.
National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) Athletes Commission Chairperson Richard Mulenga told the athletes at the OYDC Zambia that the nation will be rallying behind them and expect the team to put up a good performance in Zimbabwe where the games will be hosted.
Mulenga said ‘’the nation is proud of what you are doing. This is not the first competition you are travelling to, we need to see good results. The NOCZ president Alfred Foloko passes his regards to you all and wishes you God’s travelling mercies. Go and make us proud by qualifying for the All Africa Games’’.
The Zambia Hockey Team left for Harare, Zimbabwe for 2023 All Africa Games Qualifiers slated for 31 August to 4 September 2022.
The team will play against hosts Zimbabwe on 1 September then Malawi on Saturday 3 September.
The two top sides will automatically qualify for the 2023 All Africa Games slated for Ghana in July 2022.
