HANS BERTELS JETS IN ZAMBIA AHEAD OF TEULINGS YOUTH SPORTS CHALLENGE GRAND FINALE
Hans Bertels, representative of Coen Teulings Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium has arrived in Zambia ahead of the 13th edition of the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale.
The finale will be held at the OYDC Zambia on 23 November 2024 where top deserving athletes will be rewarded.
Bertels was welcomed in Zambia at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by OYDC Zambia Acting Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Tembo.
Athletes from twelve sports codes will be rewarded this weekend for having exceptionally taken part in the 2024 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge which has been running at the OYDC Zambia since 2011 and sponsored by Coen Teulings.
Athletes from boxing, basketball, hockey, rugby, judo, taekwondo, hockey, football, netball, beach volleyball, baseball5, and teqball are the ones who will be rewarded including media personnel who have been covering the league games.
During the grand finale expected to be graced by the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Hon. Elvis Nkandu MP the OYDC Zambia will also re-launch the multipurpose hall which was recently renovated with a new floor mat donated by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).
Other delegates expected to witness this event of the year at the OYDC Zambia include; representatives from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5, Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), National Sports Federations, National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ), National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) among others.
Over 500 young Zambian athletes are expected to be present for the awards and to witness the event.
