HAZ happy with girl participation in Teulings
Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) president Victor Bwalya Banda, has expressed happiness that there is good participation of girls in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge.
Banda says society should encourage the participation of more girls in different sports activities stating that his association has made great strides to ensure that there is good representation of girls in handball.
And Banda has thanked the OYDC Zambia for continuing hosting the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge which engages athletes in eleven sports disciplines.
He says the league games are helping sports associations in the country to identify young players who are picked to play for national teams.
OYDC Zambia on Saturday 22 May, 2021 hosted four sports disciplines; netball, beach volleyball, judo and handball which are all under the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge and are supported by Coen Teulings Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium.
Meanwhile OYDC handball team and Ndeke meanwood in the U14 boys category are leading the log standings with five points each while in the U14 girls category Kamwala stars is leading with five points followed by Bluewood which has four points.
The other handball teams which took part in the competition include; Goal getters, Kasisi Dyamittee, Silverest Green, Triple B, Misisi rangers, Chongwe angels among others.
