NATIONAL SPORTS COUNCIL OF ZAMBIA DIRECTOR/CEO MUSUNSA PAYS COURTESY CALL ON OYDC ZAMBIA ACTING CEO TEMBO

The OYDC Zambia management led by the Acting Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Tembo Thursday morning welcomed National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Director/CEO Sombwa Musunsa and his team to the sports facility he paid a courtesy call on management.

Musunsa appreciated the role the OYDC Zambia has continued to play in developing sports in the country at the grassroots level stating that many athletes who have used the facilities are now showcasing their prowess at the world sporting stage.

He said the NSCZ stands firm to work with organisations such as the OYDC Zambia to fulfil its mandate towards national development.

OYDC Zambia Acting Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Tembo acknowledged the importance of collaborating with organisations such as the NSCZ and has since appealed to the Council to refer some activities conducted by sports associations to be done at the multisport facility.

Tembo added that the only way the OYDC Zambia can raise the much-needed sufficient funds to maintain and renovate some worn-out sports facilities is when sports associations consider conducting their events from the Centre and recommend it to other regional partners.
