NATSAVE WINS INAUGURAL 2021 OYDC INTER COMPANY TOURNEY

It was a glamorous moment as eight teams turned up to compete for the 2021 OYDC Inter-Company Football and Netball tournament. The bankers NATSAVE bank reigned supreme by beating their competitor INVESTRUST bank 7-6 in a crucial match which ended in penalties.

NATSAVE netball team also scooped the first position by beating INVESTRUST Bank. The teams walked away with trophies and assorted sports jerseys. And Lusaka Media Football team thrashed Davis & Shirtliff 2-1 to secure the third position. The team comprising of scribes from different media institutions bamboozled their opponents with a good play which left a number of spectators amused. During the trophy presentation, OYDC Zambia Chief Executive Officer Dr Fredrick Chitangala, paid gratitude to all participating teams and disclosed that the tournament will be hosted again in the year 2022.

Dr Chitangala, emphasised the need for persons in the country to take part in different physical activities such as aerobics gym, football, netball and many others which the centre provides. Meanwhile, OYDC Business Development Committee Chairman Wana Msiska appealed to companies in the country to continue supporting the OYDC. Msiska added that OYDC is open to the public and hosts a number of events. Msiska flagged off the games by kicking a penalty shoot with OYDC CEO Dr Chitangala.
