OLYMPIAFRICA NETBALL TEAM IN JOYOUS WIN

Olympiafrica netball team thrashed Lusaka Queens 17-5 to record a win during the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge on 13 August 2022.

The team through its top scorer Bwalya Ngandwe dominated the game from the beginning and left Lusaka Queens disappointed after managing to score 5 goals before the final time elapsed.

Ngandwe who scored 14 goals attributed the teams winning spirit to perfect timing while in the field of play.

She indicated that her team is expected to meet Chipata next time they have games stating that they’re the only competition they have in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge.

Losing Lusaka Queens team player Winfridah Mwansa blamed her fellow players for not scoring more than five goals but was quick to appreciate her teammate Esther Chilongo who managed to score for her team.

She indicated that next time her team will focus on working hard if they are to record a win in their upcoming match.

Some of the teams which were also competing include Chipata, Our Rainbow House, Matero, OYDC, Mbombela, Chazanga, and Super Stars.

Meanwhile, other games in tegball and handball were hosted at the centre. OYDC Zambia programmes officer Likemore Mahunje expressed happiness at the turn out of athletes who came to compete.
