OYDC BOXER FLOGS OPPONENT WITH ASTONISHING SIZZLING PUNCHES

Stanley Mulenga a boxer from the OYDC Zambia academy shocked his opponent Lameck Zimba from Green Buffaloes after flogging him on a split decision 3-2 at the ongoing National Youth Games in Ndola, Copperbelt.

Mulenga who was fighting in the lightweight 60kgs category dominated the bout in the second and third final round before getting declared as winner.

The energetic Mulenga couldn’t believe that he was the winner to proceed to the final bout.

He told our media team that he has been dedicating his time to training in preparation for the youth games which have attracted athletes from other provinces.

His coach Pathias Chisenga disclosed that the victory is not yet over until his boxer secures a medal in the final bout to be played Friday. He added that two of his boxers are in the competition but only one managed to win and secure a spot in the final.

Losing boxer Lemeck Zimba accepted defeat saying he got tired but promised to work on his mistakes during the next National Youth Games.

Eighteen bouts were played in different weight categories with athletes showing their amazing punches leaving spectators thrilled.

The games have been organised by the National Sports Council of Zambia through the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts.

Other games are happening in Lusaka, at the OYDC Zambia.
