OYDC DIRECTOR AND PPP COORDINATOR ATTEND ZIMBABWE SPORT MANAGEMENT COURSE
OYDC Director Dr. Fredrick Mulenga Chitangala is attending a course in Zimbabwe on Global trends in Sport management and resource mobilization organised by Sports Leaders’ Institute Zimbabwe and LiiKe of Finland.Dr. Chitangala is attending the course together with Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development (MYSCD), Podium Performance Programme (PPP) coordinator Sombwa Knox Musunsa.
The Podium Performance Programme (PPP) aims at providing sustainable support and opportunities to Zambia’s high performance in athletics, boxing and judo. To successfully implement the Programme, the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development works with the National Sport Council of Zambia, National Olympic Committee of Zambia ( NOCZ), the Olympic Youth Development Centre, the three National Sport Federations (Zambia Judo Association, Zambia Boxing Federation and the Zambia Amateur Athletics Association).
While in Zimbabwe Dr. Chitangala will meet officials from Zimbabwe Olympic Committee and Sport & Recreation Commission of Zimbabwe among others.
Some of the topics at the conference include; Resource mobilisation and Strategic Management in Sport.
