OYDC FOOTBALL ACADEMY COACH PLANS FOR WINNING FORMULA

OYDC Zambia football academy coach Samuel Moloka has disclosed that teams in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge have been battling it out to contest for supremacy ahead of the grand finale.

Moloka says the league games have been tough such that all players from teams that take part in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge have very good talent.

He adds that games held on Saturday 27 August 2022 showed that teams are not giving eachother chance to be defeated and lose points.

Currently, Garden Youth Academy has maintained the log standing in week seven with 18 points followed by Chipata Overspill with 15 points while Olympiafrica has 12 points and it’s closer rival OYDC has10 points in the boys U17 age category.

In the games played today OYDC beat SOS 4-0, Garden Youth Academy beat KK Rising Stars 2-0 while Olympiafrica drew against Chipata Overspill in a 1-1.

Moloka further indicated that following Saturday games OYDC and Chipata Overspill are likely to have their points increased on goal difference with other teams. He added that the 2022 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale will be very interesting and competitive.

Meanwhile, other youths took part in Taekwondo which has about 150 players fighting.

The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge is a youthful competition which engages athletes below the age of 17 years in a well organized weekend league. The competition has been running at the OYDC Zambia since 2011 and has since become a household name for having contributed players to several national teams and clubs. It is sponsored by Coen Teulings, Chairman of the Merifin Capital in Belgium.
