OYDC Zambia Hosts the Launch of the Thuso Sports Management Scouting Tournament

OYDC Zambia proudly hosted the launch of the Thuso Sports Management Scouting Tournament, an initiative aimed at identifying top football talent for trials in Europe.

The Guest of Honor, Mr. Muyaule Gibson, Assistant Director of Elite Sports at the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, highlighted the unifying power of sports, stating:

“From time immemorial, sport has been used to bring communities together, promote social cohesion, and foster a sense of belonging. The government remains committed to promoting grassroots sports as a means of keeping youth engaged and encouraging healthy lifestyles.”

He further emphasized the New Dawn Government’s dedication to sports development, saying:

“As the New Dawn Government, we are committed to promoting sport in the country. We believe that sport should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender or abilities.”

OYDC Zambia was represented by Programmes Manager, Mwange Kampamba, who led the team in officially launching the scouting tournament. This initiative marks a significant step in providing young Zambian athletes with international exposure and opportunities to advance their football careers.
