“PLAY SAFE” NOCZ SECRETARY GENERAL KAMBIKAMBI URGES HANDBALL PLAYERS
As the handball players prepare to leave for Zimbabwe on Sunday 5th May ahead of the IHF Trophy Zone Vi tournament, National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi has urged players to be wary of doping.
Kambikambi told the IHF Trophy Zone VI bound team at the OYDC Zambia which has been their training base that doping has ruined athlete’s sports careers who want to use prohibited substances to enhance their performance.
He was addressing the handball players during the unveiling of the new jersey the team will use during the competition supported by Moic-LN a Chinese firm.
And Moic-LN project manager Zhiyi Su has disclosed that his company will continue supporting handball adding that the sport has the potential to mint medals for the nation and bring honour.
Meanwhile, Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) General Secretary Josab Changa has paid gratitude to Moic-LN for the jerseys stating the team is ready for the U20 IHF Trophy Zone Vi which will run from May 6 to 11 in Harare Zimbabwe.
Zambia is placed in group B for the U18 men’s and will face countries like Swaziland, Mozambique, and Namibia while in the U20 men’s Zambia is in group A and will battle it out with South Africa, Lesotho and Namibia.
