Sports minister launches IJF “judo coaching practicals”
The minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Moses Mawere, was at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) on the 8th June, 2018 to officially open the International Judo Federation “Judo coaching course” organized by the Zambia Judo Association.
The minister said he was elated to officially open the course which he says will help participants acquire the knowledge to improve the standards of judo in the country.
He was accompanied by Mrs. Bessy Chelemu, Director of Sport, in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development.
Present to welcome the minister was National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) President Mr. Alfred Foloko who is also president of Zambia Judo Association, OYDC Board Chairperson Mr. Shakalima Simangolwa, OYDC Director Dr. Fredrick Chitangala, Zambia Judo Association General Secretary Mr. Mabvuto N’guni, NOWSPAR Executive Director Mrs. Matildah Mwaba, and representatives of different sports associations among others.
The ceremony was witnessed by Director of Sport and Executive Member of the IJF Mr. Daniel Lascau World Champion, the Academy Director Envic Galea, Dr. Tibor Kozsla, Mr Comino Piero Kata Expert, Mr Huzinga Mark Olympic Champion, Ms Loretta Cusack-Doyle World Champion and and Mr Frank Mousima former Africa Champion.
