TEULINGS YOUTH SPORTS CHALLENGE RETURNS TO THE FIELD AS RUGBY, BEACH VOLLEYBALL AND TAEKWONDO TAKE CENTRE STAGE

The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge (TYSC) was back in action last weekend, with young athletes returning to competition across several sporting disciplines as the 2026 season moves towards its much-anticipated Grand Finale.

Rugby provided plenty of excitement on the field, with teams competing across the Under-12, Under-14 and Under-17 categories as young players continued to showcase their skills, teamwork and determination.

In the Under-12 category, the weekend produced several closely contested encounters. DVDC defeated Lions 20–15, while Mt Sharks overcame Chibolya 25–15. Lions then recorded a 30–25 victory over Chibolya, before Sharks edged OYDC 25–20.

In the Under-14 category, Chazanga recorded a convincing 35–15 victory over Lions, while DVDC defeated Chibolya 26–20 in another competitive encounter.

The Under-17 competition also saw strong performances, with Mt Sharks defeating Kasis 27–10, while OYDC secured a 17–12 victory over Kasis.

The results reflect the growing competitiveness of the rugby competition, with teams continuing to gain valuable match experience as the season approaches its decisive stage.

Away from the rugby field, Beach Volleyball and Taekwondo were also in action as part of the wider Teulings Youth Sports Challenge programme.

The continued activity across the different sporting codes is giving young athletes an opportunity to compete, develop their abilities and experience the values of discipline, teamwork, respect and fair play.

With several fixtures and activities still to be completed, the competition is entering an exciting phase as teams and athletes look to finish the season strongly.

As competition continues across the different disciplines, attention now turns to the remaining fixtures and activities before the Grand Finale brings the 2026 TYSC season to a close.
