Zambia Army dominates Teulings judo league
Zambia Army judo club has dominated the Teulings Judo league which was staged at the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre on Saturday 1 May 2021.
The club bagged 64 points after the weekend games. Athletes from other clubs like Zambia National Service, Zambia Police, Central Sports Club and Ippon were defeated which saw the army club carrying the day.
Zambia Judo Association (ZJA) Communications and Administration Officer Carol Chipupu says the league was successfully hosted adding that her association will use the same Teulings judo league to select a team that will represent Zambia at the regional games.
Chipupu thanked OYDC management for hosting such a youthful league which she says will help shape the judo skills of young talented athletes.“Today’s Teulings judo league was successfully hosted.
This league will help us identify athletes to make a team that will represent Zambia at the upcoming regional games. It is impressive to see how committed these athletes are on the turf as they compete” she said.
The OYDC also hosted handball which is part of the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge and attracted several athletes from communities surrounding the multisports facility.
