Zambia Hockey Teams Ready for Egypt
Zambia National Men’s Hockey Team Coach Thomas Mumba, has expressed confidence in the Zambian hockey team ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Club Nations to be held on October 22nd to 29th.
The tournament scheduled for Egypt comprises of eight teams of which seven are the top ranked in Africa with the remaining slot competed for by the other nations.
Mumba, has noted that his team is in high spirit as they have been preparing adequately at the OYDC for the upcoming tournament stating that the players are ready for the tourney.
He has however said that he is aware that Zambia will be treated as underdogs following their absence on the previous year in the competition which gives them a competitive advantage over their other competitors.
The Lusaka Sharks male and female teams traing from the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) and most of the players were selected from the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge.
