ZAMBIA TAEKWONDO PRESIDENT NAGODE COMMENDS OYDC

Zambia Taekwondo Federation president Likando Nagode has commended the OYDC Zambia for its positive support and contribution to the development of youth sport at the grassroots level.

Nagode says the federation continues to work with OYDC Zambia to nurture athletes being prepared for different competitions such as the upcoming 2022 African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Youth Games to be held in Malawi in December.

He further commended the new dawn government which has shown massive support to all sports disciplines saying many athletes like those who participate in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge at OYDC Zambia will be inspired to perform well as they grow.

Nagode was at the Centre to witness some activities and told our team that many of these talented players will be picked to represent Zambia at different regional competitions.

He added that the federation wants to see the engagement of more girls in participating in some of these competitions stating that they are being inspired by the performance of girls from other sports disciplines.

OYDC Zambia on Saturday 24 September hosted the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge where athletes were competing in football and taekwondo.
