Zambezi hockey club dominate Teulings Youth Sports Challenge

Teulings hockey coach Floyd Chomba, has disclosed that Zambezi hockey club has continued to dominate the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge hosted at the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre.

Chomba, says OYDC Zambia, through the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge, has helped many young athletes to realize their potential and there by contribute positively to the growth of sport in the country.

And Zambezi hockey player Cynthia Jere, says she is happy that her club has continued to dominate the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. Jere, says she is hopeful that her team will be crowned winners of the Teulings hockey league during this year’s grand finale to be held in November. 

Meanwhile, over 10 teams turned up to participate in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge which took place on Saturday, 07 September, 2019 at the OYDC Zambia. Some of the teams are DE stars, Hotspurs, Zambezi, Lusaka Sharks and Springfields.

The OYDC Zambia, also hosted the Teulings Taekwondo league games which saw over 30 players exchange breath taking kicks.

The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge, engages athletes below the age of 17 in five sports disciplines namely netball, swimming, taekwondo, hockey and beach volleyball and are sponsored by Coen Teulings, Chairman of the Merifin Capital in Belgium.
