TeQball Federation Zambia hands over ten tables
TeQball Federation of Zambia has handed over ten teqball tables to different clubs as a way to kick off it’s National League games.
Federation president Dickson Jere speaking during the handover ceremony held at the OYDC said there are 24 registered teams across all ten provinces.
He said it is motivating to see the sport of TeQball attracting a number of sportsmen and women joining despite it being new not only in Zambia but across the globe.
Jere indicated that the national league will be the most admirable in the country in that many people will be yearning to be part of the sport.
Meanwhile, teams from OYDC and OlympAfrica showcased Teqball demonstrations to the amusement of other clubs which came to collect their tables.
The handover of tables ceremony was witnessed by National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) president Alfred Foloko, NOCZ Secretary-General Boniface Kambikambi, Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) General Secretary Josab Changa, OYDC Zambia Chief Executive Officer Dr Fredrick Chitangala among others.
Teqball is a ball sport that is played on a curved table, combining elements of football and table tennis. Back and forth, the players hit a football with any part of the body except arms and hands. Teqball can be played between two players as a singles game, or between four players as a doubles game.
