OYDC LAUDS ITS DOPING CONTROL OFFICER

OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre is proud of one of its staffers Likemore Mahunje who serves as programmes officer for the role he has diligently played at the just ended Africa Union Sports Council Region 5 Games in Lesotho.

Mahunje was one of few Africans selected to serve as Doping Control officers during the Region 5 Games in Lesotho with the aim of promoting clean sport among athletes.

His calibre of work is worth appreciating and being emulated. He holds different portfolios back in Zambia. During our brief chat with him, he disclosed that ‘I am proud to represent Zambia and help some of the athletes on anti-doping education before the games. My role is to raise more awareness of the dangers of doping in sport’.

Mahunje was trained in Hungary Budapest under the International Olympic Committee (IOC) scholarship as a Sports Science Coach.
