Teulings Youth Sports Challenge Weekend Delivers Exciting Handball, Football, Basketball and Table Tennis Action

The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge continued today with exciting action across several sporting disciplines, as young athletes competed on the fields as the league nears its conclusion.
Handball was among the highlights of the weekend, with the B Handball League producing closely contested matches and impressive performances from participating teams.

In the opening game, OYDC Handball Club (OYDC HC) started strongly with a narrow 4–3 victory over Lycée Français de Lusaka in an entertaining encounter. The closely fought match demonstrated the competitive nature of the league, with both sides battling for every opportunity.
The action continued with Ridgeway playing to a 4–4 draw against Olympafrica Centre, in another evenly matched encounter that kept spectators engaged until the final whistle.
Lycée Français de Lusaka returned to action determined to bounce back and achieved an 8–5 victory over Olympafrica Centre. The result provided a strong response after their earlier defeat and added further excitement to the developing competition.
OYDC HC then produced one of the weekend’s most convincing performances, defeating Ridgeway 16–4. The result showcased OYDC HC’s attacking strength and ability to convert opportunities, while Ridgeway will look to regroup as the competition continues.
Beyond handball, the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge also featured competitions in basketball, football and table tennis, giving young athletes an opportunity to showcase their skills across different sporting disciplines.

The weekend’s activities highlighted the value of providing structured platforms where young people can compete, develop their sporting abilities and build important values such as teamwork, discipline, respect and perseverance.
